Recommended CBD Directions & Use for PETS

Directions

• Shake well before every use

• Drop the oil directly in your pet’s mouth, on a treat, or in the pet’s serving of food. Whatever method works most effectively to get the oil in your pet’s system. However, putting the oil directly in the pet’s mouth could serve as the quickest, most effective way to get the correct serving into their system.

• Giving your pet their oil during or after their feeding time will help increase the bioavailability and effectiveness of the oil in their body. Make sure sufficient water is available for the pet to help wash down the oil and food as their body begins to digest and work.

• CBD is a supplement for everyday use. In fact, several of its best benefits will only be seen once it has been introduced consistently to the body over a period of days or weeks. We recommend everyday use for any pet, regardless of the severity of their issues or lack thereof. This consistency will help the CBD interact with their endocannabinoid system, while compounding its therapeutic benefits for their body’s current needs.

¼ of a dropper = 12.5 mg

½ of a dropper = 25 mg

¾ of a dropper = 37.5 mg

1 full dropper = 50 mg

What to Know

• It can take up to 30-40 minutes for CBD oil to circulate in the body and achieve its full effect.

• Taking more does not always mean achieving more with CBD oil. It is about finding that individual “sweet spot” or as we like to call it – point of relief – for each pet. The science tells us that way too much or way too little is equally ineffective in addressing the body’s needs. Rather, it depends on the pet (height, weight, etc.) and the very nature or severity of the issues they are dealing with.

• In humans, high dosages of CBD (e.g., 1500+ milligrams) affects the CYP450 enzyme in the liver and can decrease the metabolization of certain drugs. This in turn can increase the length that prescription medications circulate and stay in the body. According to the FDA, one would have to consume this entire bottle to see this in full effect. However, it is still a good idea to talk with your veterinarian on the best approach to incorporate CBD if your pet is on multiple, toxic, and/or powerful prescription medications.

Recommended Use

• Being that pets are not able to take CBD oil correctly under the tongue and let it sit properly, a lot of the CBD that is served as a dose will be lost in their digestive system and not used. Therefore, the recommended dose for pets is a ½ dropper per 20 pounds of weight.

• We encourage pet owners to diligently test and see what works best for their animals. Depending on breed, size, weight, and activity – all pets could have a slightly different relationship with CBD dose and frequency. No one knows your pet like you do, so as the owner, learning how and what dose to serve your pet is something best fitted for your discretion.
